Combining both front and height channels, the speakers give a sense of height and dimension to the sound that makes Atmos so immersive. Obviously the most straightforward option is to add speakers on the ceiling in either a two or four channels configurations. When I enable the 'Dolby Vision Enhanced compatibility' mode in the Sync app settings it sets the DV movies to HDR but then works fine. Each speaker has stickers on the back showing where to place each one and where they need to be connected.

Far more convenient than having to cut holes for ceiling speakers, this Atmos speaker package offers the benefits of Atmos without the inconvenience. I'll be very disappointed if this app is no longer available, especially now that I have a bigger screen. Has anyone experienced anything like this, is it a problem of my connection or the particular unit or the model itself ?
Don't have series X but the hue sync box is very limited as video output, so will not use it for games, using it will only reduce your video capabilities. The active subwoofer can be hidden out of sight, but with a 10-inch cone and dedicated 80w amplifier is anything but discreet when it comes to sound - powerful sound tracks will have you pinned to your seat! if i enable the enhanced compatibility in hue sync, the video output is YCBCR422 8b, the colors seems washed out and less brighter and of course, light sync works well.

Anyone using this with PC with an Nvida gpu able to get full colour space, I can get 10bit ybcr444 but only limited, according to Vincent Teoh it should be able to. Using ceiling speakers is obviously the best way possible but this is not possible for a vast majority of users. However, my ceiling is high and I’m wondering if mounting the Atmos speakers high on the walls would deliver a worthy effect. But if we had to choose we would either place them on top of the front speakers or in the middle to have the best results. It's driving me nuts on some games so thinking of upgrading to the GX and wall mounting but wanted to know if that's still an issue on the newer panels?Anyway as they are THX certified I was always under the impression that their were good quality speakers. Suddenly the dolby vision issue is still present for me, every time i have to enable the “enhanced dolby vision” that downgrades the picture quality to a standard HDR (i suppose) but the light sync works well, without that option enabled the lights won’t sync. With fire cube connected to the hue box my LG G1 displays the video output as rgb 8b tm - 3840x2160p - 60hz fixed, the colors are amazing and dolby vision works correctly, but lights won’t sync. The better your problem and question is described, the easier it is for other Onkyo owners to provide you with a good answer.
