There’s a definite noticeable difference between the purple and the red however because I did the purple over the top it is more of a pink-purple than it is a blue-purple so they blend together nicely whilst still having enough of a contrast. I really love this colour and actually used it for about 18 months, however I found that it doesn't last long enough, (about a week, but fades to about half it's strength after 2 washes- 3 if you're very lucky) even on my hair that's bleached to almost white.

Overall- I still really liked the colour, and dying often wasn't too bad as on a good month I could make the pot of dye last about a month so it wasn't too costly to use.
