While Undaunted: Battle of Britain uses the same core gameplay concepts and play patterns as the rest of the Undaunted series, it is also the most different and unique of the family. Trevor and I needed to complete the core gameplay concepts by June 2021, complete 80% of the design by December 2021, and hand over everything by March 2022.Because it blends the traditional troop movement of tabletop wargames with deckbuilding, you're left with an experience that combines the best of both. The difference here to other Undaunted games is that each turn a plane is activated it must move forward or else it would fall out of the sky!Should you commit your aircraft to the fight quickly, or attempt to outmanoeuvre your opponent and engage on your terms? You can’t crash into other planes and there are rules to cover what must happen if you would fly out of the map area but if you fly into a barrage balloon it’s curtains! However, as always, the game benefited immensely from Osprey’s amazing attention to detail when it comes to delivering an amazing, top quality final product.
