About this deal

Fraser, George MacDonald (1994b). Flashman and the Dragon. London: HarperCollins. ISBN 978-0-00-617340-3. Flashman's son, Harry II, is used as a character in some of the short stories created for the " Tales of the Shadowmen" series. He first appeared in the eighth volume. His son has several of the characteristics of his father, but appears to be less a coward. William Gordon-Cumming - Central figure in the scandal. His similarities with Flashman are not lost on the latter, who eyes him with some jealousy as a younger version (and more authentic military hero) of himself.

The plot is as you would expect: Elspeth, Flashman’s apparently alluring and less intellectually endowed wife is kidnapped by ‘Don’ Solomon, a brigand, who lures her first into South East Asia, and then to Madagascar with Flashy and some notable historical cameos (James Brooke) pursue her doggedly.
