This mystery peated whisky from the Isle Of Mull is a spirit known by the original distillery name, meaning ‘safe haven’. The Sinclair Series pays homage to our Founder, John Sinclair, with a number of delicious whiskies handcrafted at our distillery.

I had to nose to see how the liquid presence remained and there was lemon meringue pie, a touch of cold honey glazed ham with burnt twigs. Small batch distilled at our distillery on Mull, we combine hand selected botanicals with a splash of spirit from the Tobermory whisky stills to create three deliciously unique gins. After Sinclair's first application was rejected, he persevered and a year later the distillery was established. We carefully select every single cask, and bottle at cask strength, always keeping the liquid its natural colour and with no chill filtration. This 12 year old Ledaig Distillery Exclusive release was finished in Amarone wine casks for one year, creating a sweet but smoky dram with sweet vanilla custard and honey notes balanced with sharp tannins and a distinct saline note intertwined with a peppery smoke.For us, one of the best aspects of a good single malt whisky is its ability to bring people together. Distilled on the Isle of Mull with Hebridean tea, heather, elderflower and sweet orange peel, our award-winning Hebridean gin is fresh and zesty. Ledaig is the peated alter ego of Tobermory single malt, with the distillery situated on the Hebridean Isle of Mull. We are delighted to announce Ledaig 18-Year-Old has been awarded The Whisky Exchange's Whisky of the Year for 2023! Aged 13 years, this whisky has spent time in both red wine and oloroso sherry casks, creating a sweet, fruity and salty dram with a long smoky finish.

Unlike its unpeated Tobermory counterpart, Ledaig is known for its robust and smoky character, imbued with the rich, briny flavors of the island. Produced by the Tobermory Distillery on the Isle of Mull, Ledaig is a brand of Island single malt whisky. ABV, this sits in our Ledaig (peated whisky) core range, alongside Ledaig 10-Year-Old and Ledaig Sinclair Series: Rioja Cask Finish.
